Temple Grandin

my parents are moving to our farm, finally. im not sure if my dad is so interested in raising cattle again, and now i completely understand. today i have been reading the essay Power Steer by Michael Pollan which is a journalistic commentary on the U.S. cattle industry, as he follows his steer, No. 534, to the slaughterhouse. my dad was remarkably compassionate for his head of cattle, and i closely followed. ive always wished for more. i think reading about temple grandin would be fascinating. i'm really proud that my uncle Skip, a farm veterinarian, has chosen to volunteer as a scientific advisor for American Humane.
